This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America.
Menu Foods makes alot of pet food for everyone. Most of it is the same junk. Factories will make a big batch of food, and put different labels on it and charge different prices. Basically, you could be paying 1.10$ a can for Alpo but the store brand is made from the same junk, at the same factory and probably at the same time for .85$ a can. You might be able to check out information on companies like Menu Foods that makes the pet food to see who all they supply the food to and from what plants.
Purina food isn’t very good anyways though, just over priced junk. You can label garbage as #1 Brand Name! And sell it for twice as much as Regular Store Brand, but its still garbage.
Hope that makes sense.
